I am under the firm belief that people's choice in music is indicative of their mental and social health. People like me (and I suppose Ronny as well) listen to the music of our time, popular music. Consider this, what kind of music do you think that emo kid down the block listens to? Emo music. People like effect listen to these indie musicians because they want to be non-conformists, these are the same people that **** all over modern music because they pretend like they have a shred of culture and originality. Trust me I know, I have several friends exactly like this.

I'm not saying I have a problem with indie musicians, sometimes they make good music, but popular music is popular for a reason.

Maybe I'm onto something or maybe I'm totally blowing smoke, that's just my opinion.

Why am I bagging on effect? Maybe because he blatantly stated he hates people he's never even met, artists I'm a fan of. The reason I'm not going after you is because I know you have an open mind. Even in this post you admit you occasionally like their music. To be honest, what's really bothering me is these arrogant pricks who think that only their non-mainstream music is good.

To say that anyone that listens to top 40 music is a "bandwaggoner" is idiotic. The definition of the genre is the 40 most popular songs in America, allow me to explain; this means that the majority of the country enjoys, and actively listens to said style of music. In no way shape or form does it make you a wannabe.

Music is a big part of EVERYONE'S lives, not just yours. Just because you do it for a living doesn't mean your opinion is any more valid than the next person's, if anything it just means you're biased towards the music you perform.
